Dacor Head Chef, Stephen Hualde, is an integral member of the Dacor Design and Culinary Center Team who shares his enthusiasm for food preparation with meticulous attention to detail, applying his skills, knowledge of the appliance features and sense of fun, to each demonstration and class he presents.
A graduate of the California School of Culinary Arts, Stephen came to Dacor after graduation as an assistant chef. During his more than 8 years with the company he has gained great experience, "I feel blessed to be able to do what I love, using such amazing appliances and I have built wonderful friendships with the Dacor family."
Creating recipes and menus to showcase Dacor appliance features, Chef Stephen teaches classes on many types of culinary techniques and topics, from Spanish Cuisine to Outdoor Entertaining. He also continually teaches appliance Use and Care classes for Dacor customers and dealers. When not teaching, he is in the Dacor kitchen, cooking lunches and dinners for meetings and special events, or testing a new recipe.
With an extensive collection of cookbooks and cake molds, he enjoys honing his talent for baking and cake decorating, with a future goal to write his own cookbook.
Chef Stephen grew up loving to cook, beginning at a young age with the assistance of his Mom. Shortly after high school, having a desire and passion to cook and create, he enrolled in culinary school with the love and support of his family. Today, the love of his wife, Sarah, and his two greatest accomplishments, son, Ezra and daughter, Zoey, inspire him both personally and professionally.
Away from the kitchen, he enjoys playing paint ball with friends. However, his best days are at home with his family.
